Terms of Service
Last updated: May 9, 2026
1. Service
eubase (“the Service”) is a REST API that normalizes company data from European public registries (SIRENE, Companies House, VIES). The Service is operated by an independent developer based in France (“we”, “us”).
2. Access
Access requires a GitHub account and an API key generated from the dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Usage is subject to monthly quotas depending on your plan. We reserve the right to suspend access for abuse or non-payment.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Resell or redistribute raw API responses as a competing data service
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or quotas
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Scrape or bulk-export data beyond your subscribed quota
4. Data Source Accuracy
Data is sourced from official public registries (SIRENE, Companies House, VIES). We normalize and cache it but do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. Company data reflects the registry state at the time of the last cache refresh (up to 24 hours). Do not use the Service as the sole basis for compliance, legal, or financial decisions.
5. Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day of each month. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. Overages beyond your plan quota are billed at the rates listed on the pricing page.
6. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but provide no uptime guarantee. The Service depends on third-party registries (SIRENE, Companies House, VIES) which may be unavailable. Errors originating from upstream sources are returned as 503 responses and are safe to retry.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
